These chestnuts from straight from Stefano and Alessandro in Tuscany. Each variety of chestnut has its own visual markers; down to ribbing, striations and depth of colour. Stefano polishes his chestnuts so that even within a single variety - we start with Cecio, and move into Bastarda Rossa - we see the individual characteristics of each nut. Two stages of sorting screen the harvest for any duds, and the quality and consistency we receive reflects this level of detail. The nuts have a pure sweet flavour and texture which retains bite when roasted.
