August- March I Lincolnshire, UK
Most people think that broccoli is a year-round crop and set their expectations accordingly low. In reality it has a natural season and what is picked during those months is totally unlike anything you've ever tasted. These heads come straight from a specialist brassica grower in Lincolnshire, one of England's most productive growing regions. They select each head individually, looking for dense, tightly packed florets and tender stalks. Grown and picked like this the entire plant has value and mineral, fresh flavour - unlike the woody, fibrous heads you see in the supermarket. Picked by hand, they reach Natoora within hours of leaving the field.
