At this point in the year, nearly all of Natoora's fresh herbs come straight from a single specialist grower in northern Italy. What makes his herbs so special is that Daniotti selects his seeds for flavour, not yield. Planted directly in Daniotti’s fertile, nutrient-rich soil, his basil leaves are like nothing we've ever tasted before. To look at they may seem finer than the usual greens but their flavour is incredible: potent, rounded and without any of the bitterness you can sometimes find in this aromatic herb. A strong reminder of why seasonal sourcing is the secret to exceptional cooking.
